Algalita Algalita - Algalita Marine Research Institute (Algalita) conducts scientific research, as well as school education and community outreach programs. Algalita is working to understand the scope and impact of plastic debris in the marine ecosystem, and to inform the public about the value and vulnerabilities of our oceans and how our individual actions influence the entire marine environment and, ultimately, the health of our planet and ourselves.



Bodhi Education Proejct - Since 2006, Bodhi Education Project has been providing unique learning opportunities to children and families.They became an official 501c3 in 2010 with a mission to create educational programming that expands our awareness of the human experience. Their initiatives empower kids to explore, understand, and create positive change, allowing them to connect with the world and, in turn, share responsibility in taking care of it. They are teaching tomorrow's leaders in art, science, music, medicine, theatre, politics, and education to act with compassion and to take an active role in protecting all living things.

The Butterfly Effect began in Hawaii in 2007 by water girl, Tatiana Howard. With the collaboration of like-minded water women and international friends that shared the same vision, The Butterfly Effect began to take flight. The small idea has turned into a worldwide movement of promoting women in sports, health, dreams, visions, and environmental awareness.


Surfrider Foundation - Maui Chapter - +H2O is proud to be working with Surfrider to provide monthly beach clean ups island wide on Maui!

The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to the protection and preservation of our world's oceans, waves and beaches. Founded in 1984 by a handful of visionary surfers, the Surfrider Foundation now maintains over 37,000 members and 60 chapters across the United States and Puerto Rico with international affiliation in Australia, Europe, and Brazil.

Surfrider Foundation, Maui Chapter is working to bring life to its mission of preserving beach access, preserving near shore water quality, and protecting recreational and cultural sites through CARE: Conservation, Activism, Research and Education.

Sustainable Maui Sustainable Living Institute of Maui - The Sustainable Living Institute of Maui (SLIM) at the University of Hawaii-Maui College (UHMC) is a center with a primary focus on community outreach and sustainable development activities. SLIM's mission is to integrate the principles of sustainability into all levels of education to help people build skills that are compatible with the community's cultural, environmental, and economic aspirations.
UCCHM UCCHM - The University of California Center for Hydrologic Modeling (UCCHM) was founded in 2009 as a UC systemwide effort to help focus its considerable hydrologic expertise on California's critical water issues. The mission of the UCCHM is to develop state-of-the-art predictive models linked to an advanced data and information system, and to enable greatly enhanced simulation capacity for UCCHM participants and stakeholders. Our vision includes sustainable water management for California and the west, informed by the latest advances in systemwide research.
Water Charity Water Charity - +H2O is proud to be working with Water Charity, a high impact international organization with a proven track record of successful clean water projects in communities around the world. The +H2O Water Charity fund has been created to fund selected projects in specified surf locations as chosen by the +H2O watermen team.

Water Charity is a non-profit organization, directed toward improving the human lefts and dignity of individuals throughout the world by providing them with resources that impact upon their health and well-being. Water Charity is one of the best and highest-ranked water charities, delivering global services and choosing to fund projects in the field for the greatest impact. Water Charity implements practical solutions to provide safe water, effective sanitation, and meaningful health education to those in need.

Water Charity:
  • Operates 300 projects in 60 countries (Asia, Africa, Central America etc.).
  • Has 8,000 volunteers through a network of NGO's (mainly Peace Corp).
  • Uses Peace Corp to train local people to do maintenance, creating jobs/micro business that take care of finished projects.
  • Provides systems depending on needs: complete water systems, catchments, reservoirs, water filters, repairs of existing systems, etc.
