My name is Charles, I was born in 1987 and raised up in Paris. Most of my family is still living in Reunion Island, and I had the chance to spend a lot of time over there. It basically helped me point out the differences between big cities and peaceful countryside, and how you chose to organize your life. After 25 years in Paris, I decided to move on the coast, in Morbihan, Brittany. Living closer to the sea feels much more coherent when you love watersports. It is a chance to enjoy the ocean every day, I would love to share what I see, when I am in the water, with every person that I meet. Once you are in the water, it all makes sense. As a child I was taught a sentence: “to receive you have to give”; I consider that I had the chance to see the water life and its beauty with my own eyes and it is now time for me to try to help people have the same chance that I had. Finding out +H20 and what people do there seemed like a good starting point to invest myself into something useful.
Honestly, if I was able to put a seed into people’s brain, telling them that, when they go to the beach, it is better to remove something from the sand than add something to it (like a used can or cigarette)…I would be a happy man!
What issues regarding clean water and/or clean oceans are important to you?:
Who knows why, but as human beings we were given intelligence. The Man did, does, and will do clever thing as well as inappropriate things. Life comes from the ocean; we know that it is a fragile ecosystem. We are all moved by its beauty and are happy to go to the beach or for some snorkeling but still, at the end of the day, you will find trash in and out the water! That is a problem. I think humanity has reached a certain level of communication that enables everybody to know what they can or cannot do regarding the ocean if they don’t want to saw the branch they are seating on. Therefore I think that it is important to raise the level of conscience in people’s mind regarding the Ocean.

Why +H2O is important to you:
I like the idea that a group of persons has started to show the world in which way its mentality should tend towards. Protect the Ocean, thus protect life, pretty simple, isn’t it?
What is your favorite sport and why?:
Windsurfing, Stand Up Paddling and Surfing
Mauritius Island, because once you have reached the outer reef, it feels like you are at the very end of the world. Brittany because every time I enter into the water here, it is like entering in a sanctuary.
I am still working on it![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
